Summary
Julian Chen walks forward step by step and does not look back. Julian will not look back to his old life in the Accord. There is nothing to miss; he is independent in the Compact and lives wonderfully on a planet untouched by the war. He might miss his best friend Tom when the latter has to travel for a work trip, but he'll be fine. His plant neighbors are more than happy to keep him company.
