Summary
"See, the thing about Theo is that he’s nice. Genuinely nice, the kind of guy who doesn’t need a calendar to remember people’s birthdays or think twice to lend a hand; the kind of guy who sends all his neighbors baskets of fresh produce when the harvest starts just because, who always has a sympathetic ear and is willing to name any flower or insect Jas or Vincent throw at him, no matter how long his day has been. Not because he wants anything in return, or Yoba forbid, expects it, but because it’s in his nature to do it and he enjoys being a good neighbor. Quite frankly, it fucks with Shane’s head."
Or, Shane longs for the days when he wasn't in love with his boss.

Interesting worldbuilding! The dialogue reads in the voice of characters, very nicely made

Summary
Maybe it’s fruitless. Trying. Because that’s what he did with Randall, wasn’t it? Everything would fall apart and he’d just put it back together without thought. It would fall apart again. He’d fix it. And even after everyone else had given up, Henry was still down in the ruins, searching. Trying to put everything back together. Failing.
“Just-” Angela sighs, breaking through his contemplation. “You get home late, and then you go to sleep. You wake up and then you go back to work. You don’t… Henry, do you have any hobbies?”
His voice dies in his throat.
As he withers under her firm gaze, he tries to search for something in retaliation to that - and, to his utter dismay, comes up short.
or: henry tries to come to terms with the fact that his grief might be deeper than he thought.
