Summary
Shit sucks right now: Technical issues are delaying the show, Dex wants to fight everyone, and Hemlock is agonizingly sober (and also wants to fight everyone). There must be something he can distract himself with.
Charlie, meanwhile, is leaning against the wall, shades slipping down his nose as he lazily nods along to an imaginary beat.
Hemlock's solution may be closer than he thinks.
(Shameless smut, with gratuitous plot. Title from 'Dirty Diana' by MJ.)

Summary
Dr. Grace is in for a long haul on the way to planet Erid. Unwilling to enter another coma to preserve his own mental health, he plans to spend four concious years aboard the Hail Mary for Rocky's sake. But as anxiety and hopelessness surrounding Grace's past shortcomings and his uncertain fate set in, it's going to take a lot to pull him through.
Maybe a certain alien friend can help, if Grace would let him.
(Based on both book and movie canon, mostly book. Updates frequent but unscheduled.)
(EDIT 08/29/26: Sorry for the indefinite hiatus, while I have no set date for returning, do know that I still have my eye on this fic and plan to get back to updating it sometime this fall!)

Summary
Saving the galaxy was a matter of firepower. Keeping it from finding you is a matter of paperwork.
"The man who had charged through mass relays toward impossible odds, stared down Reapers, and carried the crushing weight of entire civilizations on his shoulders—that man had died, at least in spirit. What remained in his place was something far simpler: a husband, a father, and a homeowner who occasionally fixed fences."
Beyond the mapped relays, hidden in a dark space system the galaxy thinks is dead, a sanctuary has begun. It started with a handful of veterans, a few families, and a secret worth protecting. Now, it's a thriving settlement of three hundred people trying to build a quiet life. At the heart of it is Commander Shepard, a quiet home, and a stubborn fourteen-year-old daughter who disassembles heavy rifles on the living room floor.
The universe believes the Ghost is dead. But when a silent, unseen anomaly begins shifting the dark corners of the galactic web, a looming storm gathers on their horizon. One by one, the old crew of the Normandy must mobilize to protect the Commander's peace—even if they have to protect it from Shepard himself.
