Summary
In 2014, more than a year after leaving the home she shared with Fox Mulder, Dana Scully has painstakingly rebuilt a life that is stable, if not happy. Working at Our Lady of Sorrows Children's Hospital, she buries herself in medicine, trying to outrun the heartbreak of a love she never stopped carrying. She left Mulder believing that her absence might force him to confront the depression that had consumed him and their relationship. Instead, he let her go. They have not seen each other in over a year, spoken in nine months, and his last email was painfully brief.
