Summary
Mr Simpson's full intention in coming to Lyme was to have a little sea-bathing and enjoy the, admittedly rather wet, summer with his family. Unfortunate then that a young man should be found in the hills just outside Anne Elliot's cottage, and mere days before she is to finally wed her Captain. Even more unfortunate that the young man should be dead.
The coroner begrudgingly begins his inquiries, bearing with the overly enthusiastic assistance of his daughter Rosaline, and unraveling many a secret in the small seaside town. If only one of them might lead him to the identity of the victim, his holiday might yet improve.
