Summary
“Finally,” they say, oblivious to Illuga’s mental slip and subsequent panic, “Are you Captain Illuga?”
“Oh, you’ve heard of me?”
“Someone,” they say tightly through their teeth as their hand, which holds Flins’ delicate lantern, begins to shake with what Illuga can only describe as inconceivable amounts of anger, “can’t stop talking about you!”
“How long has he been like this?”
“Two days,” the Traveler tells him.
"I commend your sacrifice."

Summary
Five times Flins touches Illuga out of curiosity. Five times Illuga feigns ignorance until the truth spills forth.
Flins removes his glove before he touches Illuga's cheek again, marveling at the feel of the soft tissue under his cold skin. All the while, Illuga’s eyes stare into his own—the colours so bright and enticing. The blue of its outer circles rivals the sky, and the red center reminds him of the blood the young man spills so willingly for his homeland. It taints the lovely feeling Flins holds into darker thoughts, and he lingers—longer than he should—letting his thumb run over the same spot over and over again…
“Sir Flins?”
“Yes?”
“I think that’s enough,” the Young Master states abruptly before turning on his heel, leaving Flins standing where he is, staring at his hand as if he’s never had one to begin with.

Summary
“But you’ll have to agree that I am furthest from ordinary than anyone else in our pavilion.”
Dainsleif exasperated, “When did I ever say the opposite? Dynasty, I had no idea how foreign a concept kindness was to you.”
“What reason do you even have to show me kindness?” Surtalogi demanded.
“There isn’t always a reason, Surtur,” Dainsleif mumbled. He was too tired to mind the nickname slipping, the fondness he so adamantly swallowed down seeping through the cracks of his facade. “Sometimes you just do.”
Dainsleif hurts and heals in more ways than one.

Summary
Dainsleif wasn't always without his childhood memories. Though his exact relationships with the Five Sinners have been lost to time, does that make them any less valuable?
He was young once, too.
