“Sion and I both zoned,” Yushi revealed. He didn’t see a point in hiding it. Even if they could hide something like this from people they lived with, he wouldn’t want to. There were burdens that he took care to hide from Sakuya and Ryo, but this wasn’t one of them. “We bonded.”
The same blank expression that Yushi had initially worn fell over all of the others before the realization came to them.
“Huh,” Riku uttered. “Yeah, I guess that makes sense.”
Yushi’s head shot over to him. “What? How?”
“Is that okay?” Ryo asked. “That… doesn’t it make things complicated for you both?”
Yushi’s mouth fell shut. He hadn’t thought about the complications. He hadn’t had a moment to think about anything but the facts yet.
Yushi and Sion find themselves in a situation. All they can do is adjust and pretend things aren't twice as complicated now.

Or, Sion had been courting Yushi for so long that everyone could see it by now. Well, everyone except Yushi himself.

Natsume Yuujinchou/Book of Friends AU
In which Tokuno Yushi is a boy born who inherited the ability to see creatures beyond the human realm and the Book of Wish, which contained 'names' of spirits from his late grandmother. The book allowed him to gain control over any spirits whose names were taken, but Yushi wasn't particularly interested in becoming the big boss of the youkai realm. All he wanted was to live his life peacefully and return the names to their rightful owners.
He didn't expect that some of the spirits would refuse to leave his side, though.
