With Dennis’ luck, he will mix up two instruments, or drop a scalpel, or slip in a puddle of blood and faceplant in front of the entire surgical team, because that’s the kind of thing that seems to happen to him whenever he’s in a room with Dr. Park. But whatever. This shift was already doomed to suck, and Park hates him anyway. Maybe he’ll murder Dennis and put him out of his misery.

It’s all good though. Trust him. Clint’s got a plan, and absolutely nothing and nobody is going to stand in the way of it succeeding. All he has to do is kill one measly Avenger – and not even one of the superpowered ones! Should be a total breeze.

Jake Lockley loves his job. Like, seriously. He gets to drive fast cars, drink good liquor, and get paid the big bucks. Also, kill people. Objectively awesome stuff. What else could a guy possibly need?
In which being the only alter with half a brain cell can get pretty boring when you haven't got anyone to share it with. And Jake has never been what anyone would call friend material.
Meanwhile, Bob Reynolds is...adjusting. Seriously! He is. It's only that being the objectively craziest guy in a group of messed up ex-mercenaries and super soldiers can get kind of lonely, especially when one bad day might spell the end of New York as we know it. Also, there's only so many dishes he can do before he seriously starts to contemplate the merits of re-acquiring a drug habit. (It's not like it could kill him anymore, right? Haha. Kidding.)
But Bob's doing fine! Honest. He doesn't need a friend. And he definitely doesn't need Jake Lockley.
