But you know what else can be described as nothing else but love? The way Ilya lights up when Svetlana teases him in Russian. The way Shane laughs when Hayden tells a bad joke. The way Ilya feels safe enough to open up to Troy. The way Rose squeezes Shane's hands after they hug. The way Ilya notices Jackie is overwhelmed with the kids before she has to say so. The way Shane calls Harris whenever he doesn’t understand another internet reference Ilya made.
This isn't a story just about how much Shane and Ilya love each other. This is a story of how much they love their friends. And how much their friends love them
Because romantic love isn't the only type of love worth writing stories for.
