“O’Hara residence.”
“Taggie? This is Taggie, right?” An American woman asked. The voice was vaguely familiar and frazzled, but she couldn’t quite place it. Likely one of the few transplant housewives of Rutshire calling for a last minute cater she would have to throw together.
“Yes, can I help you?”
“Is Rupert there? Gerald didn’t answer the work line and that housekeeper of his said he was likely here.”
Taggie frowned, Rupert had been with Cameron for months now. Not to mention — which they certainly didn’t — their kiss a few weeks ago. She would be shocked if he even had time for another paramour. And for them to have the audacity to call around for him.
“He’s here, can I ask who I’m speaking to?”
“It’s Helen. Helen Gordon. It’s about Tabitha.”
Or, Helen calls the Priory looking for Rupert and gets Taggie instead.

Summary
Taggie was in the kitchen when it began. The Venturer team was around the table, the structured meeting long since devolved to drinks and picking at the remaining food from the dinner she prepared.
Only a few people remained when Taggie felt the telltale nausea creeping in. Her face and neck were suddenly quite warm, and she knew she was already too late to take one of the few remaining migraine pills she kept for emergencies, having not had the time to go to the local doctor for a new script since they moved.
“Angel? Tag?”
The smooth, rich voice broke through the haze she was under, along with the pressure of a calloused hand on her wrist.
“Christ,” he muttered. “Angel, you’re white as a sheet. What’s the matter?”
Or, Taggie gets migraines. Rupert is there to help.

“Go away,” she snapped. She could feel the flush in her face that Halbrand Marion’s presence always brought about. They shared a politics class together despite the fact that she was a first semester freshman and he was a senior, and on the first day he had flopped down into the seat next to her and made it his mission to irritate her.
“You should be thanking me,” he said. “For rescuing you from Thondir.”
When she didn’t, he turned back towards the door. Galadriel felt a strange sense of disappointment that he had acquiesced so easily. Usually their bickering could last hours, even days.
Except he wasn’t leaving. She heard the soft snick of the lock falling into place, and then he was facing her again, a hungry look on his face.
“C’mon, princess,” he said, toeing off his shoes. “Why don’t you show me how grateful you are.”
Or, Galadriel is drunk and Halbrand sees his chance.

The Uber wouldn’t be cheap at this hour. She was contemplating the subway, checking the route and schedule, when a masculine hand appeared in her peripheral vision with a tumbler of dark liquid in it.
“The firm pays for rides home from these types of events, you know.”
“Oh,” she said, words failing her in the face of his handsome features.“I don’t actually work for the firm. Sir.”
“Which one of the little first years are you here with, Miss –”
“Starkov. Alina Starkov.” She stuck her out towards him, trying to replicate the unfamiliar professional mannerisms she had seen throughout the night. The man smirked slightly, like he could tell that she was out of her depth. His handshake was firm, but not posturing. Sure and steady. His hands were surprisingly callused for a lawyer, but still smooth, and when he pulled away he dragged his fingers along her palm in a way that almost made her shiver. “I’m here with my boyfriend, Mal — Malyen Orestev.”
Or, Alina is tired of being second best in her lackluster relationship. Aleksander wants to fix that.

Accomplishing zilch, except quite possibly finally succeeding in going barking mad."
When Coin sends a still-recovering Peeta directly to the Capitol to join the Star Squad, Johanna and Haymitch are both rightfully upset, albeit for slightly different reasons. They have a conversation about it back in Thirteen. (Mockingjay outtake.)
