Summary
"What the hell is your problem?!" Kim was on her feet before Sunny could even blink. The booth screeched in protest as she shoved her way out. She closed the distance between them, her hands balling into fists.
"Are you blind, you freak?" Kim snarled, stepping into Sunny's space. She pulled her arm back, ready to strike.
He didn't flinch. He braced himself, waiting for the impact.
It never came.
A hand shot out, grabbing the sleeve of Kim's jacket and yanking her backward.

In an AU where the recital went well. Mari got into college, Sunny is never a shut-in and Aubrey is still a delinquent.
Through old memories, quiet moments and shared routines, the two of them start growing closer than either of them realizes.

Faraway is all but a distant memory nowadays. Months have passed and no one had contacted Sunny in any manner, not even seeing him off the day he went away. The only remains of those distant times, an old family portrait and the flowers he received from the townsfolk. But time keeps moving, and now Sunny must live a new life.
