If wesker was honest with himself he should have expected Chris to show up, the man was too stubborn to let anything go Running into Claire was also a pretty good indicator that Chris would be soon behind and yet when his brain fully processed seeing the form of the very man that was Chris Redfield on the grainy monitor in front of him he couldn’t deny nor ignore the heavy weight that suddenly filled the center of his chest.
It was like a snapshot of what he considered so long ago and yet a progression of time passed. Still wearing the stars jacket even though it looked like it had been through hell and back, Chris was armed with more weapons this time and with a surefire air around him that only a man who's been through similar situations like this could have about him.
It was admirable, and it made that long-ignored aching of loneliness grow tenfold in Wesker’s chest until he swore it could double him over if he let it.
or once again Wesker and Chris's lives intersect and pushing away the irrational feelings Wesker harbors is much more difficult in person.
