Summary
A patient is flirting with Buck. The good news is, Buck seems to be enjoying himself immensely judging by his tilted grin and the fact that he’s lingering while Hen and Eddie actually try to do their jobs. The bad news is… all of the above.
“Alright, Buck,” Chim swoops in like Eddie’s knight in shining armor. “Stop distracting your husband and let him do his job.”
Buck’s face drops, gawking at Chimney as he continues on his way to the truck.
“Oh, I’m sorry. I didn’t realize…” their patient begins, her shoulders bunching to her ears.
“No!” Buck waves his hands, whipping his head down to look at her. “No. Soon to be ex-husband, actually.”
She makes a face. Eddie tries not to. “That sounds… complicated,” she says.
“Nope. Not complicated at all,” Buck insists. “We got married as a joke in Vegas. It didn’t mean anything. Drunken mistake.”
Eddie clenches his jaw, praying for the ground to open up and drag him under.
Eddie has come to the decision that a forever love is not for him. He plans to remain happily single for the rest of his life. That is, until a drunken night in Vegas changes everything.

Summary
He takes in the sight before him. When he’d left their stall to run after Theo, Eddie had been alone, packing all their stuff by himself. That isn’t the case anymore.
Apparently, Amy noticed Eddie all alone at the stall and took that as her chance. They’re talking to each other, Amy’s hand on Eddie’s arm, her head thrown back in laughter at something Eddie said. Buck can’t hear what they’re saying, but he’s got a pretty good feeling he knows what they’re talking about.
He sees Eddie smile as Amy says something else, sees as he ducks his head, and he can picture Eddie's face going red from the blood rushing into his cheeks. They exchange some last words before Amy finally drops her hand from where it had been resting on Eddie’s arm all throughout their conversation. Buck doesn’t realise he’d been holding his breath until he lets out a deep sigh as Amy finally walks away from Eddie.

“So how did it happen?” Chim asks as soon as their butts hit the seat.
“What- are you really going straight into this, Cap?” Buck asks, emphasizing the word that might prompt Chim to be a bit more professional. It doesn’t.
“I sure am.” Chim gestures wildly between them. “You can’t just come waltzing into my station holding hands and not expect to tell me exactly how this happened.”
“You really want to know?” Eddie warns, trying to give Chimney an out. He either doesn’t notice or chooses to ignore the warning.
“Yeah!” he spits out, slamming his palm on the table impatiently. The table shakes with the intensity causing Buck to lean back in his chair. “Come on, captain’s orders.”
A mischievous quirk pulls at Eddie’s lip. He is going to make their captain regret that command.
