Summary
Yuuri is twelve years old when Yuuko brings him to the beach to see a human for the first time. The silver haired boy runs in the sand, chasing after a brown furry animal. The boy smiles and laughs and Yuuri longs to be with him, to have legs instead of his light blue tail.
Yuuri comes back to the beach often during the coming eight years, hidden from view as he watches Victor grow from a boy to a man. Yuuri himself getting older and more prepared to shoulder the responsibility's of being born to the rules of one of the sea kingdoms.One night, Yuuri comes to watch Victor only to finds him on a boat. A storm closes in, lighting striking the ship, sending it in pieces down towards the bottom of the ocean. Yuuri can't stop himself, as he dives to save the one he longs to stand beside.

Summary
Victor was just uploading some new items to his shop when he saw it, an ad flashing by on his Instagram as he posted a photo of the item to promote it. ‘Need a friend?’ it said, and Victor felt it like a punch to the gut. He scrolled past it, but his mind stayed on the ad, enough so to make him scroll back up to stare at it again.
‘Need a friend?’ he read again, and Victor let out a long sigh as he slumped back in his chair. He glanced down at the information text below, and couldn’t really stop himself from expanding it to read the full post.

Summary
Usually, when faced with one of Harry's non sequiturs, Kim would intentionally force his face to remain neutral, carefully hiding either confusion or a grin.
This time however, he opened his mouth to speak, then stopped himself before a single word left his lips. His eyebrows creased in a look of intense concentration, while his gaze went right through Harry, then snapped back into focus. Before the lieutenant was able to reign in his expression again, something flickered over his face.
HALF-LIGHT - Fear.

Harry stared at him, mouth agape and wide-eyed before he threw both his hands out in a wild gesture that barely missed Kim. “‘Tis but a slip of the tongue, if a bit more literal than one’d expect!”
Kim scrutinized Harry from behind his glasses, letting the silence bloom between them.
