Things have been uneventful since Yuuri left Viktor's side. He misses Viktor dearly, but Viktor's been extremely busy as of late. (Maybe even more so than normal...)
Despite becoming public with their relationship, Yuuri's family still don't know. The weight of secrecy becomes too much to bear when he visits home for the first time in a long while, and he finally spills the much awaited beans. Now everyone wants to meet Yuuri's special new person. With how busy and distant Viktor has been since Yuuri left his side, he's not so sure if or when he can make that happen any time soon.
However, Christmas is on the horizon, and a certain person's birthday is creeping up. Maybe Yuuri can make a little holiday magic happen after all.

There's several things to contend with here: One, Katsuki may have adopted the femme fatale seductress persona on ice at first, but Yuri's impression of him being the type to coyly beckon and then let his partner take the lead was so far off base it's in another country. Another planet, perhaps. Two, despite everything, Yuri is apparently into that.

“I’m going to flatten Victor like a blini at Europeans,” Yuri says, furious. Victor had skipped the Grand Prix Series again this season to focus on coaching Katsudon, robbing Yuri of any opportunity to beat him so far. “And at Nationals, just you watch.”

This story is my way of processing the events of the 2022 Beijing Olympics and the weeks after leading up to the World Championships in Montpellier.
