The first thing Shinji noticed about him was the way his skin contrasted with the surroundings, a stark, unblemished section of canvas that the powers orchestrating the apocalypse seemed to have intentionally left blank. This was originally going to be a series of unrelated fairytale-inspired AU fics until I realized that 1) a lot of my fics are fairy-tale inspired and 2) "And all I ever meant to do was keep you" is actually a stealth sequel to "et Anima." So ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ idk what the connection is anymore except somebody's probably a shapeshifter in them.
