Summary
“Let’s meet up after school next week, okay?” Shidou asked during lunch break one day. They were sitting on their designated spot on the rooftop (that used to be solely Sae’s hiding spot) with the sun shining high above them. A spring breeze ruffled through their hair, a bee flew past them, and Sae almost dropped his chopsticks. He blinked in confusion, once, twice.
Shidou had never asked to do something together and that was a thing Sae particularly fancied about him.
So, reasonably enough, he planned on saying No. But there was something within him that made the word die on his tongue. For some reason, his first instinct wasn’t to decline or to stand up and walk away and never look at Shidou ever again. Far from it, actually. He caught himself actually not minding the idea of spending a little bit more time with the other than completely necessary, and he caught himself not hating the thought of it either.
or: sae doesn’t like shidou, not really. shidou, with the help of a simple picnic date at the park, proves him wrong, however.

Summary
“Alright,” Sae gives in with a muffled voice since Ryusei is still cupping his cheeks and still pressing dozens of kisses all over him in between listing every possible pet name he’s ever used. “Fine,” Sae says and opens his eyes to find his boyfriend’s gaze already on him. “Don’t make me regret it, you demon,”
“Yes!” Ryusei cheers and grins from ear to ear before storming off immediately after. Seconds later, he comes back with a werewolf and a little red riding hood costume and holds them up proudly, his eyes shining brightly.
“I told you to not make me regret it,” Sae tells him and Ryusei waves him off.
or: ryusei convinces sae to go trick or treating with him to catch up on childhood memories that have never been made before
