Summary
Supernatural fic based off the movie "Sweet Home Alabama" (2002)! I rewatched it recently, and couldn't help but notice how similar the main characters were, so I thought I'd make that dream a reality for myself. :)
(You don't have to have seen the movie to follow along! Though, I would suggest watching, as it is a fun, campy, early-2000s romcom!)I tried to stick as close to the movie as possible, while still referencing the show.
If needed, there will be cw's or notes before the chapter!

Castiel Novak is an up and coming fashion designer in New York; he has amazing friends, a great career, and a JFK-like partner. But when he gets proposed to, Cas doesn't forget about his family back down South. More importantly, he doesn't forget his husband, Dean, who refuses to divorce him even though he sent divorce papers seven years ago. To set matters straight, Cas goes back to Alabama to make Dean sign the papers. Summary
In the spring of 1944, the 104th Medical Battalion of the United States Army is disbanded, and its men reassigned to various infantry companies in preparation for their invasion of occupied France. For First Lieutenant Novak, this is less than helpful, as he has so far met his platoon’s designated medic a grand total of twice, and has both times found Sergeant Winchester to be the optimum combination of reckless, arrogant, and downright insufferable so as to make cohesive platoon function near impossible. When the time comes to move out, however, Castiel has to reconcile himself to the fact that men are going to go down and trust that Dean Winchester may well be the only person who can put them back together again. Summary
