"M-My dad said you, you’d,” the kid says, swallowing. “That if I didn’t, that if I didn’t behave, he’d sell me to you. And you, you would…”
The shock burns away immediately; the ashes condense into a murky, muted sort of rage.
He stays still for a long moment, then pulls himself up against the wall. “Okay,” he says monotonously, taking a step toward the kid, and the kid- flinches. He flinches.
Jason reels back, not speaking yet, not trusting himself not to yell. And when he does speak, he says:
“Come on, kid. Let's go say hi to your dad."

Summary
Red Hood's been running Robin's Nest, a secret youth shelter in Gotham, since he came out of his murdery craze. He wants it to be a place to stay, no questions asked, with a hot meal provided if you stick around for breakfast. The kids of Gotham deserve that much.
Enter Stephanie, whose new name isn't the only secret she's keeping.

Summary
One night, Robin spots a kid with an overnight bag on a rooftop, and he jumps to the obvious conclusion: the kid's trying to run away. The kid is doing a really bad job of it, though, and that's the sort of thing Robin just has to correct.
Except the kid is Tim Drake, and Tim isn't actually trying to run away. But "running away" does sound a little better than "stalking bat-themed vigilantes through the crime-infested streets of Gotham every night." So he lets Robin have this one.
Besides, that's the end of it, right? Robin might have found Tim once, but no one ever looks for Tim a second time. Robin can think whatever he wants. They'll never see each other again.
(They see each other again.)
