batman cares about helping people and he cares about his rouges and that’s the entire point if this. i forgot, or maybe never fully realized how essential that was to his character.
no, it’s definitely the second. that’s sad. thank you; i see it now.
the point is to help people, and that includes the rouges. they aren’t evil, they’re people.
its like when you go to school and your glad all your classmates are there, even if they aren’t your friends. they’re familiar and you care about them and you want good things to happen to them. it’s like that.

Chekhov’s Gun: every element on stage can and will be used, no matter how insignificant it may seem.

People tend not to see Midoriya Izuku as a threat. He’s a side character, a background element, a piece of the scenery. And as long as he sticks to the shadows, nobody notices the smoking gun in his hand.

Tōru is four years old when her Quirk first manifests. It happens slowly, gradually, and she doesn’t notice until it’s too late.

    It starts with her hands.

the invisable girl is the loneliest girl in the world
    .
a hagakure character study. i'm glad to have read it; i've never sought out fanfics about her before.
    .
Tōru just wants to play blocks with Kasumi, but Kasumi won’t talk to her, and all anyone wants to do is talk about her Quirk—

    She plays alone.
    .
    alone. alone alone alone alone.
it's heartbreaking; she's only in preschool, then middle school.

    Bookmarker's Notes

hi. i didn't read the author's note or tags until the end of the fic so i was a little confused about what was happening, but those two things made everything clear.
    .
i really enjoyed reading this, even when i was freshly finished and confused. this was very well-written, and the characters were captured very well.

    .
some of the lines I really liked are:

Tim and Dick meet, as always, at Haly’s Circus.

#in any universe, forever and ever
this is why i was confused, at first. i thought tim was looking for dick. that they'd already met.

    -

Because that’s where his interest lies, really—the gray area. The moments where people flinch, falter, but don’t break. What shades of green? What pitches of laughter?

    Where’s the line?

the joker is gone. he has left behind fear, but the people are confronting it. or maybe they're just trying to live.

    -

If you set aside the ethical debate and get down to brass tacks, the math is simple. Killing is easy; it’s also completely pointless. Because superheroes, villains, Bats and Rogues and Ra’s al Ghul and the goddamn Joker—they’re not just people, they’re symbols.

    They’re ideas.
