Summary
It's been years since they had seen each other. Years since they had last talked, said their goodbyes and expected to meet again the next day. But the war with Daibaazal had pulled them apart, and Shiro had lost his hope in meeting his best friend once again.
Years had passed, but while they talk and go into a tavern to keep catching up and both drink until their laughs are wet and anecdotes turn ridiculous, Shiro realizes their friendship hasn't changed a bit.
Some things change, though. Shiro, for one. Keith, for two.

There’s so many things he hasn’t done that he wants now with an intensity he’s never known. Keith wants what other people had growing up— stability, normalcy, monotony. He wants to do things like play board games, take his dog on walks, and have a beer. He wants time to waste carelessly, and not have to worry that death is right around any corner.
