Summary
Eddie lies in his bed, sleep flowing through his mind like molasses, when he feels the warmth of a hand splayed on his stomach. A hand that’s not his. Summary
“It’s what’s inside you, Eddie. You came today, and you said you’re scared, but there’s no point in being scared of something that’s a part of you. It’s the same part that cherishes your son, that saves people, that loves your friends. No matter how many Hail Mary’s you say, or how many times you sit in a confessional booth, it will not go away. It’s not something you have to exorcise. Whatever it is you’re scared of,” Father smiles knowingly and looks at Eddie. His next words are quiet, but Eddie hears the loud reverence in them, crystal clear, like heaven's bells. “It’s love, Eddie. Running from it is a waste, isn’t it?”

Summary
“Gonna buy me a drink?” She smiles.
“Yes,” Eddie finds herself moving closer towards the woman, the Moon orbiting the Earth. “Only if you tell me your name first,” she whispers into her ear.
Eddie’s lips graze the curve of the shell, and she wants to whoop childishly at the reaction the caress elicits from the woman. She shivers, hundreds of goosebumps marching along her strong-looking arms.
“Buck.” -
