Summary
After dying in the fall of Gondolin, Glorfindel and Ecthelion each wake in strange environments, far from anything they have ever known or loved. Neither of them know where they are, or why — and most importantly, where the other is. Glorfindel finds himself in the opulent gardens of a warm city, where he is soon discovered by a silver-haired young girl with a kind heart. As she tries to comfort him in his grief, he cannot help but be reminded of Idril. Ecthelion wakes in the freezing North of Westeros and is taken in by the Stark family, as Lord Eddard has an awful track record with keeping strays. Ecthelion tries to adjust to this strange new life despite his grief, but as he finally begins to find his footing, danger looms on the horizon, threatening the lives of those he has come to love. Each elf swears an oath: to protect and serve a child they have come to see as their own. But as this cruel world digs in its claws, and horror after horror passes before their eyes, Ecthelion and Glorfindel must fight to hold onto their morals, their loved ones, and themselves.

Summary

Trepidation returns at the thought of making himself leave the relative safety of his tree-shade.
What Astarion would like to say is ‘go away’.
What he actually says is, “Of course! Now that I know I’m among fellow mages I wouldn’t mind discussing the craft over a nice stroll!”
After Astarion falls from the Nautiloid, he ends up somewhere new entirely. Namely, he ends up in Sunnydale not long after a certain group of vampire hunters start college there. Surprisingly enough, nobody gets killed.

[AND?] It's really really gooooooood. One of those fanfics that are so engaging it makes me keep the character images open so I can keep a stable image of what they look like..
I loved seeing how each TACO handles their own situations
