“Did you just take a picture? You should’ve said something!” Lumine turned to face him, her eyes wide.
“Why?” He asked as a small piece of film began to slide out of the Kamera, his tone completely innocent.
“Why? I was in the way of your shot.”
Flins plucked the photo by the white border, unbothered. “Truth be told, you are much more appealing to look at than any of these stalls.”

He let out an exhale. Sometimes, he wondered if Lumine’s skull was actually made of crystal chunks.

Any second now she’d do it. She’d go still in his arms, then tug back from him, looking shaken or even alarmed, and she’d say, what are we doing, or maybe what am I doing, and he’d be forced to consider the questions himself. And then she’d spiral into descriptions of the short-term and long-term consequences, probably structured like an argumentative essay which, written down, would have filled three feet of parchment.
Minutes passed, though, and she didn’t go still.
