As though every death took a little part of him along with it. . .
. . . It was exhausting, more and more by the day. He was sick of it. He didn't want to do it anymore, but he couldn't go through the motions looking as empty as he felt. They couldn't find out. They couldn't do anything, he didn't want to worry them.
He was so sick of it all. It was only a month after he started to cut that he first thought, truly thought, about suicide.

Sprout was growing tired, more and more by the day; first, he felt anger, towards everyone and everything. And then he just felt.. empty.
He tried. Truly, he did-- but nothing worked.
He can't do this anymore.

The wind was gone. Even the swashing of the bay, the sway of the grass, the calls and squacks of the gulls– absent.
