Jisung cleared his throat, a sudden feeling of embarrassment coming over him. He stared at the paper cup in his hands as he spoke. "So you're really nice and all, and your cocoa is amazing, but the whole lip thing— I can see you staring when I talk and I just wanted to say it's kind of uncom-"
"Uh sorry, strange question, but could you look up at me?" Minho suddenly asked. "I need to read your lips or else I can't really understand what you're saying."
aka Jisung asks barista Minho to stop staring at his lips, not realizing Minho is deaf, and kind of has to.

Summary
The words, raw and honest, are a punch to Minho’s gut.
He already knew that. Minho already knew how deep Jisung’s hurt ran. But—foolishly—he thought that this past year they spent together mended at least some of the broken parts. That he was slowly gaining Jisung’s trust again. Things were good. Too good to be true.
(Or, in the aftermath of an email Jisung never should have seen, Minho finally talks about what it was like when he left.)

Summary
The movie goes on, images flickering by on the giant television screen, but Minho finds it hard to pay attention when Jisung stretches and puts his arm on the backrest behind Minho, barely touching him, but in a purposeful way. Like he’s trying to gauge Minho’s reaction, give him space either to pull away or move closer.
Minho knows what he’s doing, and he hates how much he’s enjoying it, this cliché first-date move. He tips his head back, leaning into Jisung’s touch. It takes all of his might not to do more. The alarms sounding in his head are louder than the screams of the protagonist being murdered in the movie. Don’t do it, they blare. Don’t move.
And Minho knows, but he still wants.
(Minho has made peace with the fact that he might be stuck in a loveless arranged marriage for the rest of his life. Somewhere along the line, he meets Jisung, and everything changes. He begins wanting more.)
