Summary
“Who’s Cosmopolitan?” Hunter asked, reading the name on the magazine cover. A picture of two human women were laughing, looking at each other with very wide mouths and abnormally white teeth. There were a bunch of different words on the front, a lot of them way too small for Hunter to read unless he held it up to his face, but Cosmopolitan was by far the biggest word of them all.
Gus pointed to the title with his pinky, leaning into his friend, “They go by Cosmo,” he explained with excitement.
“Cosmo?” Hunter repeated, the familiar word plastering a smile across his face, “like from Cosmic Frontier?”
The younger teen pressed his lips together and waved his hand in a so-so motion, rolling his eyes in thought. He used this time to sit next to Hunter, now leveled with him, “Not really, but like, sometimes? It’s this thing that humans read for advice and knowledge. This one is about first dates, see?”

Summary
Darius decided to take pity on the child and help with the distractions as he threw away the bloodied cotton ball and took out a fresh one to continue cleaning, “What have we learned about running in the garden?”
Hunter looked at himself in the mirror and rubbed at the stains that littered his cheeks. A dirt mark was darkly applied to his forehead. Darius watched in horror as Hunter licked the tip of his thumb and tried to scrub the dirt off. He squinted at himself, and Darius was genuinely surprised that a child could express something so adult like, “Don’t.” he said, as if answering a math question.
The older man hated how this child spoke. He's come to realize that he hated a lot about how this child acted. “No,” he countered, “outside is for running, Hunter. Try again.”

Summary
Hunter didn’t agree to come to the convention just to be Luz and Amity’s personal costume repair crew, he also came because of the panel listing. After over ten years of silence, the author of his favorite book series, Cosmic Frontier, was doing a Q and A along with a signing session that he had to attend or else he was absolutely positive that he would die. His discomfort for crowds wasn’t as strong as his love for the cosmos, and Hunter was willing to overcome any fear he had if it meant he could shake the hand of the beautiful bastard who wrote Chief Engineer O’Bailey’s heartfelt, tear jerking, Oscar worthy sacrificial speech at the end of the final book.

Summary
“Do you think she has a human disease?” Amity asked, extremely worried for her friend.
“Maybe she was in the rain for too long the other day, I heard of being water logged before but I didn’t think it could happen to people…” Vee commented, pulling out her phone that Camila had given her months ago to search the web for the term.
Luz put a hand on her phone to push it downwards, shaking her head. Amity and Vee were both surprised to see the excitement on her face, eyes basically stars at the newfound knowledge she just gained, “Oh, Willow’s sick alright,” she said with her cheeks puffed, as if trying her best to surpass the giggles that threatened to escape, “love sick.”
