    Summary

And though Big Blue and resident Spooky had been a thing for a while now—no one but Diana had really gotten used to it. Hal does consider that perhaps this new development would be easier to get used to, if half his and everyone else's time wasn't greedily preoccupied by the various twenty five year olds that trigger the doors to the dining area open, just to NOT get in. In preference of “subtly” peeking at whatever league member they've attached to for the next foreseeable three months, before fleeing away when the door mechanisms slide shut again.

Only one type of junior recruit actually has the courage to cross through the door's threshold and confess their infatuations—

The doors herald someone's entrance with a pneumatic hiss—a junior recruit holding a grotesquely large and obscenely ribboned box of chocolates in his hands. He needs both hands to hold it. Throwing half assed greetings over his shoulder made tolerable by his genuine smile. A smile that trembles everytime it involuntarily falters or flares against his will—like he's physically restraining himself from outright grinning like a lovesick fool.

    —the type Batman attracts.

“Clark. Are you still in love with me?”
Clark looks up so sharply that he hits his head on the cabinet door.

AKA, a little take on “Clark fell first, Bruce fell harder” :) title taken from that @japan_nobunaga tweet about the mexican restaurant

    Summary

"Guys like us." Batman repeats the phrase as if it's the first time he's heard it, and Clark swears that he almost quirks a smile. Then the moment passes, and he closes off again. "Thanks, but I work alone."

Clark holds up his hands and rises back into the air. "Fair enough. If you ever change your mind, you know where to find me."

That should be the end of it, and it's fully what Clark intends. But some less-than-stellar impulse (he does occasionally have those, contrary to popular consensus) prompts him to take a brief peek through Batman's mask, if only for simple curiosity's sake.

He nearly drops out of the sky.

    -OR-

Within a day of their first meeting, Batman and Superman discover each other's greatest secrets. It makes for a pretty effective ice-breaker.

    Summary

Bruce is pretty sure he has a boyfriend. He's about 88.2% certain. But that’s not the problem, the problem is that his probably-boyfriend is keeping something from him. Something related to the fact that he never spends the night after their incredibly tender sex (which suggests 'boyfriends,' right?), but Bruce is determined to figure it out.
He's the goddamn world's best detective.
