Summary
Gustave's eyes blinked open and a groan fell from his lips. He looked up at Alicia, his thoughts scattered as he tried to make out of the situation he was in. Renoir's heart beat furiously in his chest as he tightened his grip around his cane, not believing what his eyes were telling him.
“Maelle...?” Gustave whispered, raising one hand to cup Alicia's cheek.
The smile his daughter sent towards Gustave was so bright, Renoir felt his heart breaking a little.
Gustave somehow gets expelled from the canvas which turns out to be the best thing that has ever happened to the Dessendre family as he is the key to get their dead son back.

Renoir closed his eyes, the colour of his cheeks grew suspiciously darker. “No.”
“Oh.” Gustave's ears started to ring, but he was strangely calm. Maybe because the situation was so surreal he couldn't believe it was really happening. “Is this your fancy way to say you're going to fuck me then, Monsieur?”
Alicia has no idea what happens when a Painter puts chroma inside a normal person. Gustave will find out. Renoir is there to clean up the mess.
