Aether wasn't the type to show a lot, but it was clear everything was getting exhausting, and Paimon could tell. She's never seen him take some time to himself. Paimon can see how much it's wearing him down.
She feels frustrated that she can’t fix this. Guilty that she has to watch him do work thats not for himself, and wishes more than anything that she could protect the one who’s always protecting everyone else.

Summary
Insomnia often took place.
Sleepless nights were normal for Atsushi. They came so often that he thought of it as normal. His sister doesn't, and she's concerned. Kyouka often notices that Atsushi isn't getting as much sleep as he usually would, and she decides to talk to him about it.
Kunikida notices the change as well. It's not normal seeing someone so optimistic suddenly shut down, and seeing how Kyouka had reacted, he tries his best to help.
Or - Kyouka and Kunikida try their best to help out with Atsushi’s frequent insomnia.

No other inphernal would yell at him, scold him for something so minor, no other inphernal would fuss over all the small details he’ll look over, no other inphernal will worry about him as Medkit once did whenever he burnt a finger on a bunsen burner, or when he cuts his hand from a dropped apparatus. No other inphernal will ever be better than Subspace.
No other inphernal can ever be what Medkit once was to Subspace.
Even if Subspace has no idea what they were.

Medkit’s face lights up at seeing their success.
It’s the happiest Subspace has seen him ever since they met.
His lips are upturned in a wide smile and he turns to Subspace to whisper.
“We did it.” It’s quiet, like a breath of relief after a marathon.
It’s the first time Subspace has seen Medkit’s eyes smile. They crinkle lightly at the corners and despite the heavy eyebags Medkit has, he can’t help but find the sight beautiful.
Eyes that shined like the finest emeralds.
Eyes that gleamed exactly like the crystals they were looking at.
Subspace loved those eyes.
