"That's just an excuse." Wilson pointed out suddenly. "All this time, I thought your son had done something terrible, unforgivable—you'll-never-talk-to-him-again sort of horrendous." Coma Guy watched him with a vacant expression. "Maybe he did. But in the end, you chose to do this. Even when he needed you."
"I didn't choose anything." Coma Guy interrupted. "You don't choose to lose the last person you love because you can't look at them anymore, you—" he cut himself off with a shaky breath, head drooping a little. Grimly, he added, "I thought you'd understand. But you haven't seen anything. Or you pretend you haven’t. Like you pretend with everything else."
[Wilson isn't gay. It just so happens that every one of his relationships with women end in failure, and there's only one person that always ends up sticking around.

“For Hell’s sake,” House scoffed, the words coming out harsher than even he had meant for them to. He didn’t think about how Wilson didn’t flinch, only raised an eyebrow, at which House scoffed again, at which Wilson still looked unimpressed. House went on. “Keep all the quantitative measurements of how much you mean it. Like you’ve meant it all the other three times.”
"If you're done narrating my biography, I'm still not dropping it."
"Then don't," House pointed out flatly. "But take your undropped issues somewhere else."

James Wilson hadn't been to work. He hadn't answered his phone, or unlocked his apartment, or sent any emails. More importantly, he hadn't informed his best friend of his whereabouts, and Gregory House was not patient nor was he interested in giving the man space.
