In the depths of a vault, a boy and his guardian fight to hold on to the last fragments of their lives.
Izuku Midoriya, torn from his home and forcibly molded by his father, All For One, lives under the weight of broken promises and silent terrors. Until the guardian arrives who will protect him and continue to hold him captive.
Shouta Aizawa, captured by villains and forced to follow orders without will, is locked away with an nine-year-old kid, given a single mission: protect him and never let him escape.
But in the midst of their confinement, what began as an imposed order will transform into a bond impossible to break — something even All For One won't be able to control.
Or
Forced to obey All For One's command, Aizawa is placed in a vault to protect and prevent any escape attempt by the son of the symbol of evil, Izuku. Unwittingly, protecting him will become something far greater than a simple order.

The moment Izuku lets himself tip forwards over the edge of the building, the sharp wind rushing his face and curls catching in the force of falling, he knows he’d make a grave mistake.
I don’t want to die...
But he’s already made his decision; you can't come back from this. He stares wide-eyed as the ground gets closer and closer as the seconds tick on, eyes squeezing shut as he waits for impact. He awaits the consequences of his own stupid actions and then—
I don’t want to die.
—and then he opens his eyes and he’s stood peering over the edge of the building he’d just fallen from. Beside him, his shoes are tucked neatly on the ledge, backpack leaned on the ground beside them just as he’d left them. Izuku blinks owlishly, leaning forwards to stare ten stories down. Ten stories down where he’d just been a moment prior, only seconds away from hitting the ground.
He’s... back?
And that’s the first time Midoriya Izuku realizes that he does, in fact, have a Quirk.
