Summary
For John Watson, Christmas has always come with the familiar dread of loneliness. Leaving behind a house filled with anger and wine-stained memories, he finds himself in a present still haunted by the ghosts of his past. But then Sherlock Holmes falls into his life - brilliant, chaotic, turning his whole world upside down - and for the first time, there’s a chance that things might finally be alright. Well, if only it could be that easy, for once.
Or: Five times John has a terrible Christmas, and one time he finally has a great one.

Summary
He’d asked Sherlock whether he had any clue on the time, at one point. The detective had been refusing to look at him, let alone speak to him, since they’d been locked in together, though, and apparently clarifying whether he knew how long they’d been there wasn’t enough to break his vow of silence.
If he had to guess – and honestly, trying to do much of that made the throbbing in his temples spike – it had been a couple of hours. Two, perhaps three. They’d had their… altercation, just past 7pm if he remembered correctly, so chances were high it was late, on the approach to midnight.
New Year’s Eve, and they were trapped in a shipping container. What a wonderful start to 2025 it would be.
He just hoped Mariana and Gregson found them soon.

John and Sherlock end up trapped after a case-gone-wrong on New Year's Eve. John, suffering from a concussion, is convinced that Sherlock is angry with him, and that he's messed up one time too many. But is that the case?My gift to @nobodysproblem for the Sherlock & Co Secret Santa 2024!

Summary
“It’ll take two seconds,” Higgins says. “I like to keep up to date with all the players, you know. I just thought, well, you moved recently. And your emergency contact.”
He pauses here, and Jamie raises an eyebrow. His emergency contact? He’d probably filled out some joke response last time, hadn’t he. Fucking Queen of England, Boris Johnson’s wife, something good.
“Oi, let’s see it then,” and Higgins passes over the paper like it’s a live bomb, and Jamie scans down to where he sees his own handwriting sitting over a few dotted lines, and, well. It sure ain’t the Queen.
or: Jamie goes through a series of unfortunate events, changes his emergency contact a few times, and considers the possibility that maybe, actually, letting other people help isn’t all bad after all.

Summary
After the locker room disaster in Manchester, Roy drives Jamie home. The chaos they find when they arrive at the house swiftly proves it is not a safe place to spend the night, forcing a change of plans and a reroute to Roy’s own home.
The following day Jamie experiences, in this order:
The most bewildering breakfast of his life, a penalty kick clinic with a seven-year-old, and an overwhelming display from his teammates that brings him face to face with the fact that not only has he been accepted back in Richmond it’s also possible he might be, in a way he can’t remotely process or understand, loved here.

Summary
He peels his eyes open. Shit, they really must be giving him the good stuff, cause he could swear he knows that dark figure lurking in the doorway, where his old man came in a few minutes ago. He blinks a few times, waiting for it to vanish. It doesn’t.
“Roy?” he croaks.
He blinks again, and Roy…or whoever…is standing beside him, 'cept Jamie still can’t tell, cause he can only see his back, cause whoever it is isn’t looking at Jamie, he’s looking across the room. Towards that window. At Jamie’s dad.
“The fuck do you fucking think you’re fucking doing here?”
Yeah. That’s Roy.
