Summary
Alastor is not a man hindered by sentiment. He leverages Charlie’s favor in a way that tricks her into breaking the restriction of 'harm no one', disguised as a concession to her soft heart. When the princess unknowingly forfeits her soul to him for violating the terms of their deal, Alastor is determined to get as much in exchange for his prize as her father is willing to give up.
He's pleasantly surprised to discover that the answer to that is anything. Everything. In a single fell swoop, Alastor devours the Devil and becomes the most powerful being in Hell.
But great cosmic powers come with great cosmic consequences, and Alastor discovers that the Devil’s power is not so easily separated from the eldritch being it comes from. Lucifer is in throat, in his veins, in his fitful dreams, and in his waking nightmares. They say that you are what you eat, and that to understand a man, you should first walk a mile in his shoes.
But it must be some kind of sick cosmic joke to fall in love with someone only after you’ve already murdered and cannibalized him.

Summary
Despite her sunny disposition, Lucifer's heir is still the Anti-Christ. Her ascension heralds the beginning of the end. But Charlie has no intention to follow the script - she'll save everyone, from the lowliest sinner to the Devil himself.
Charlie spoke to the sound of a roar, like storms, like thunder.
“This is my hotel, dad. My dream. My domain. No one gets to lie to me here, not even you. Tell me the real reason for the Exterminations. Just…be honest with me. Please.”
And as her final ‘please’ hung in the air, the Devil’s expression changed one more time. Like how his perfectly blank expression revealed every previous emotion on his face to be nothing more than a painted mask for others to see, now even that blank canvas was stripped away to show what was truly underneath - a black despair, fathomless beyond mortal comprehension, resembling nothing so much as that crawling void she had glimpsed a lifetime ago at the heart of Hell.
“I…can’t,” Lucifer said simply.
And then he was gone. No flicker of magic or flash of a portal. Just gone.
Or: Charlie herself is Lucifer's greatest lie, because the truth is too terrible to bear.

Summary
Urahara hid the hogyoku in a specialized gigai designed to turn a Shinigami into a human – a gigai he gave Shiba Isshin in order to save the life of Kurosaki Masaki. Twenty years later, Kuchiki Rukia finds herself bereft of her powers and in need of a gigai. Like the trustworthy and philanthropic merchant that he most certainly is not, Urahara provides her with a perfectly standard issue one.
So destiny stumbles a step sideways.

The Arcs are a proud line of warriors. Jaune, however, inherited none of that talent. When his father takes him to a job fair to find a more suitable apprenticeship, no one picks him. No one, that is, save for a black robed figure who rides in on a white horse at the end. Turns out the legends got quite a lot wrong, and at least anthropomorphic personification still calls Remnant home.

It's just two weak pillars supporting one another. What difference does it make if they get married?
From the perspective of canon, not much. They are so low-key about the relationship that not even all the other Hashira know about it. Giyuu and Shinobu promised one another to prioritize their demon slaying missions, but that locus of priority can make it difficult to navigate their roles as spouses. What happens with their missions is of no real concern to the other, right? Maybe they both need to talk more, before they find bigger things to argue about than fictional baby names.This is the chronological version of my somewhat popular Tumblr-based AU, with doodles showing how this sort of lens through which to view canon either makes everything funnier or much more painful. The doodles will be posted here as relevant, but long-time followers of the AU have lots of new material to look forward to.
