“But really, I didn’t—” Kaelix stopped himself, visibly frozen in the middle of putting his eyeglasses case inside his bag. Malim only tilted his head as he leaned against the door. “I didn’t do it for, like, remuneration or anything. It’s just… what friends do.”
(There is one thing Malim barely keeps a secret. He hasn’t explicitly nor directly said it to Kaelix, despite being the object of the secret, but he knows that Kaelix knows, to an extent.
As a compromise, he promises himself to not make a mountain out of a molehill. He adds a clause to the promise by making another promise: He wouldn’t cross the line Kaelix drew for himself, not unless Kaelix steps out of the line first. So he waits.)
“... And as a friend, I’m saying I wouldn’t mind taking you out. For cheesecake, I mean. And nothing else. Unless you want something else…” When Malim saw Kaelix freeze again, Malim quickly followed up. “I mean, you know, something else with your cheesecake, like tea or something. Or yogurt.”
Malim knows that Kaelix knows. They know each other well enough, after all.

“You have such beautiful eyes. Have I ever told you that?” Kaelix grips Malim’s shoulders tighter. There’s his own voice at the back of his head yelling at him that his nails might tear through Malim’s leather jacket, but he’s stunned beyond belief at the compliment. He’s heard of it before, exact words from the same guy, but—”I probably have. I may be stupid, but I’m not dumb.”
Kaelix finds even swallowing nothing difficult. His left eye twitches, and he’s sure his smile is now closer to a grimace. “I, haha, well, um—yes! Yes, uh, you have—” He internally winces at the unintentional display of being a walking (standing?) embarrassment. “You have, before. But does that—does that mean you enjoy seeing me, uh, squint, huh? You do not want me to see properly, is what I’m hearing? Me—an, Malim!” He singsongs as he drags the first syllable. His hands have still yet to leave Malim’s shoulders. Not like Malim is addressing it.
(There are other things to address as well, but it’s three in the morning, and Kaelix knows his roommate enough that they shouldn’t. Maybe not right now. Maybe not ever.)
Kaelix knows there's no name for the space between him and Malim('s lips).

Summary
“... Rosco never told me he has a sister.” Malim slowly speaks, as if he’s tasting the absurdity on his own tongue. “Because I’m not his sister, goofy! I’m Rosco! Rosco Graves!”
Malim’s face contorts in disbelief, and then in shock, and then in distrust. Rosco crosses his arms over his chest, and that doesn’t even feel comfortable anymore because something is in between, and he wants to cry.
“Are you cosplaying…?” Malim tries approaching the situation again as he slowly sits up. Before Rosco can open his mouth, Malim dismisses him with a wave. “How are you so consistent with the girl voice, though?”
Girl voice, Rosco echoes, but it’s only in his head this time. Rosco’s shoulders sag before his hands start gesturing wildly towards himself. “... I’m a girl now. I’m a girl and I don’t know why, or when, or how! Like, I actually have boobs and shit, and I can’t—” He deeply inhales, squeezing his eyes shut before looking at Malim again. “I can’t even feel my fucking dick, dude.”
Rosco wakes up with a different anatomy than his usual. Him and Malim try to do... something about it. With it.

Summary
“You’re actually such a dick,” Malim groans as he tilts his head to give Rosco access to his neck. Rosco starts sucking in between the kisses, and Malim can only cant his hips up once more.
“Dick in your mouth tonight? Gotcha,” Rosco snickers as he lightly tugs on Malim’s earlobe with his teeth. Malim moans and shivers, much to Rosco’s delight and Malim’s fake chagrin.
“Ha, ha, really—” Malim gasps when Rosco bites on the junction where his neck and shoulder meet. “Really fucking, hngh, smart of you, dude. Really mature.”
“Call me dude one more time and you won’t end up near my dick anywhere tonight.” Rosco deadpans.
Malim flies to Japan later than everyone else. Rosco makes up for lost time, not without the infamous bantering while they're at it.

“Forget it, seriously,” Diluc sighs, long and heavy. “He’s just infatuated with somebody who he doesn’t even know.”
“That’s what infatuation is, to be fair,” Jean shrugs, mumbling another thank you. She’s halfway raising her cup to her lips when her posture straightens. “Wait, excuse me?”
“You’re excused!” Kaeya hastily shuts his book to hopefully start another topic of conversation. Unfortunately, Diluc only adjusts his ponytail as he bulldozes on. “You heard me. He doesn’t even know their name.”
Please, Celestia, favor me over Diluc this once and strike him down. Or send a flood our way this instant.
Or: Kaeya becomes both Celestia's most favored child and underpaid jester after sending one of their angels his way. Except said angel has a daughter, and, oh Barbatos, he's not exactly ready to adopt a kid. Yet.

“My humble apologies, Imperator,” Hysilens says, her voice rasping unpleasantly—still so unaccustomed to the human tongue. She clears her throat, pressing a hand to her chest. “To see that fish in the blackness where the sun’s rays dare not shine… it is as a star; radiant in the depths of the sea. Not unlike your blazing light, which guided me to shore.”
Cerydra takes a long sip of her glass, only to fall silent. Golden ichor drips from the corner of her mouth, and Hysilens resists the urge to reach out, and…
“Were you truly so allured?” Cerydra murmurs, shattering the silent moment almost off-handedly—which is strange—no action of the Imperator's is impromptu in the slightest. She is an angler, a chessmaster. She is patient, composed, and she does not err lightly.
But Cerydra blinks as she looks to Hysilens, as if she too is struck with momentary surprise at her own tongue. Her breath is sweet, and warm against her siren’s scales. And Hysilens nods.
“Yes,” she whispers, for none but her light to hear. “I was.”
"Twist the knife, Helektra."

Summary
After the nurse leaves, the shame of what he’d said sticks to Chifuyu’s tongue. Not even Mikey, for whom all this was done. He's right. They are just kids. Even with all the violence they get into, fist fights escalating into gun fights, they’re still kids.
In the aftermath of grief, there's a moment of quiet solitude where an apology and a promise are made.

If there's a word for the kind of love that fills every niche in his heart, every vein that pulses through his body, every crevice that warmth doesn't reach, then maybe that's just it, just love. Takemitchy will die for every person he knows and doesn't, but he will live for Chifuyu. He thinks, it goes both ways. He'd fight tooth and nail so he can live alongside Takemitchy too.
