Summary
One moment, Newt is being prepared for maze insertion, Thomas watching helplessly from the other side of the glass; the next, he is in an unfamiliar room that decidedly isn't the maze, cradled in Thomas's arms. Newt's memories between these two events are gone, but surprisingly, it seems like the swipe hasn't worked on him. He remembers his sister, his parents, his life at WCKD.
And of course, he remembers Thomas and all that they were (and are?) to each other.

Minho flattened out beside Newt on the wet concrete, the chaotic sounds of the city becoming white noise, almost as if Minho and his dead lover were underwater below their problems. Or way up in the clouds, unaffected by the madness below.
