Hello! I'm so glad you decided to click on this fic. Welcome to my actual pride and joy. I spent months writing this bad boy, and to be able to republish it and get it out here in this format is so exciting. I have a few things I wanted to talk about before we start! First thing, let me give you the FULL list of tags since AO3 has a 75 tag limit it made me DELETE 99 tags. Now, you'll notice this fic is listed as a collab. That's only… half true? ThatOneZed is my editor and did a LOT of work on this fic. I mostly have them as a collaborator so in case I cannot upload for whatever reason, Zed will. Plus like I said, Zed's work on this fic is NOT to be undervalued. They really did a LOT for me, as well as cheered me on and kept me going. I genuinely wouldn't be here without you Zed!

The next thing you'll notice is, hey didn't you upload this before? Why yes. Yes I did. This is the Grand Reupload. The original Give and Take was a series that I uploaded as I wrote in the first half of this year. It's v riddled with typos (well not RIDDLED but like ya know) so this is it. All in one place as one mega fic, with the extra bonus of EXTRA CONTENT. I'll try and mention when a chapter has an extended or new scene. There will even be entirely NEW chapters. Some chapters might also have changed names.

Another thing to keep in mind. When I released this initially it was a series. So every 9-11 chapters have their own self-contained arc. I'll be denoting when a new "part" begins. That way at least a little bit of that storytelling style is preserved!
Some other things I want to talk about. A few of those tags and some of the more mature content of this fic. So, there are sexual scenes in this fic. Everything graphically depicted is consensual and will be marked with ### to block the whole scene off.
The next tag I'd like to talk about is the incest tag. No Actual incest takes place. An evil character expresses sexual interest in a minor to whom they are very closely related too. It does not happen, it is also treated as horror. The characters are horrified by it. This doesn't come up until towards the end of the story.
There is also the tag of implied/referenced rape. There are a handful of times that certain villain characters attempt and threaten sexual violence. These are treated as horrific. And all Very unsuccessful. These scenes range from simple threats to holding someone down, moving their body on theirs, biting them, and in some cases forcefully kissing them.
In the author's note for the chapters where these elements appear, I'll say something. You should be able to see them coming fairly easily. Please read at your own discretion!

So! One more thing before we start we start. I think I have the chapter count right. If things change I'll update it. I'll be uploading one chapter every day! But if you're impatient I'll link the original fic series Give and Take Series, but moving forward this will be the definitive version of Give and Take, and any possible continuation of the story will be put into a series with This fic, not the original series.
I can't wait to see you all sobbing in the comments. Those of my returning readers from the og series: no spoilers in those comments! I really pride myself on those twists and turns. I like to think I'm slick but I reeeeally try to not do anything without reason. Chekhov's gun and all.
