Summary
In his years of piracy, Benn Beckman had visited myriad islands and met even more kids whose eyes sparkled when they saw pirates. Luffy was different. For starters, Beckman had stayed on Dawn long enough to watch the kid grow up, and had continued to do so from afar, long after he had left—through letters from Makino or newspaper clippings.
And for all he had shared with Luffy, and all he hadn't, Beckman cherished one moment above all others. When the sun closed its eyes and it was just Beckman and Luffy for a walk at the end of the day.
It seemed fitting that this was also his last memory with Luffy.

Beckman watches his son grow up over the years until he can no longer.
