Work Text:

In your defense, you’d figured anyone with a car that fancy could afford to get a new one.

Yeah yeah, stealing cars is bad and all that, but morals don’t pay the bills, and you sure as hell had bills to pay.

Though, as you dangled helplessly above a gaping maw, scrabbling for a hold on the huge hand that could drop you at any moment, you thought that this time, you really should’ve just left it alone.

As the metal giant’s grip loosened, you couldn’t help but think that if you’d just taken a different route- if you’d walked past the car- if the car hadn’t been the disguise of this thing - that you wouldn’t be here.

“Please!” you cried, flailing wildly, “Please don’t do this!”

He chuckled, grinning up at you. “Oh? And here I thought you liked me. You were so eager to invade my interior before. Don’t you want a closer look?”

Your eyes blurred with tears. “No, no, please, I’ll do anything!”

Your only answer was another huff of laughter, and at last, he let go. The impact of the short drop into his mouth knocked the wind out of you, and as you took in a gulp of air, his tongue flexed below you, the warm spit that had started to soak into your clothes getting into your mouth and nose, and you breathed some of it in on accident. You coughed and gagged on the chemical taste of the slime, the overpowering smell of it only making it worse.

You thrashed frantically about as his tongue swiped across your body, your voice raised in a desperate wail, as if the fear clawing through your chest was shoving the breath from your lungs. There was no room for words, no space for begging in your incoherent shrieks.

You scratched and punched and even lunged forward to clamp your teeth onto the tip of his tongue, biting down until another movement wrenched it from your jaws.

And yet, despite it all, despite your hammering heart sending adrenaline surging through your veins, despite your kicking and screaming, despite your hands clawing at your surroundings for something to drag you forward, away, out, you could not escape, your every effort made useless with no more than a flick of his tongue.

The first swallow caught you off guard, a ripple of flexible mesh pulling your legs halfway into his throat, and another shrill scream wrenched itself free from your lungs. His answering chuckle rumbled through your whole body, leaving you too disoriented to fight the next gulp, and you felt tears sting at your eyes as you were tugged in up to your waist. Everything you did only seemed to amuse him, all your fighting was completely pointless.

Even as you realized this, though, your body refused to give up, thrashing with a frenzied fervor.

Bit by bit, you were swallowed down, the relentless kneading of his gullet dragging you deeper into his body, until at last, you were in up to your neck. Your last view of the outside world was a glimpse of the empty parking lot, the concrete barely holding together around the weeds pushing up through the cracks, all framed by pearl-white teeth, before a final gulp plunged you into darkness.

His throat constricted tight around you, and for a few moments, you didn’t dare to breathe for fear of choking on the slime that coated the walls, barely even able to wiggle in the crushing hold of his gullet.

Before your lungs could start to ache, though, you dropped into a pit of more flexible mesh, which molded to your shape as you were forced in. Your heart dropped as you realized where you were, but with all of your struggling earlier, you barely managed a minute or two of kicking out at your surroundings.

“Please,” you sobbed, tears sliding down your cheeks, “please let me out! Please, I don’t want to die!”

From outside, you heard two heavy thumps, accompanied by a subtle pressure on your side– he was patting his stomach.

“You’re more filling than I thought you’d be, little fleshy,” he sighed, practically oozing satisfaction. His nonchalance was almost enough to make you pass out. How could he be so uncaring of the fact that you were going to die? What chance did you have at life when this giant didn’t even listen to your pleas, let alone feel the slightest bit of sympathy?

The bone-deep chill of your terror gave you a final burst of energy, but the flurry of blows to the soft, yielding inside of his gut were weak and pointless, dying down as quickly as they’d started.

“Please,” you whimpered, closing your eyes and slumping into the plush cradle of his belly, “Please, not like this. I want to live, please don’t do this.”

A snort of laughter made his stomach shake slightly. “Now, who said I was going to kill you?”

You froze. “What?”

“Do you want to know something interesting, fleshy?” His voice was smug, amused, like he’d pulled off some great joke, rather than made you fear for your life. “I can’t process organic material.”

Your mind came to a screeching halt, like a train braking for an emergency– and then all the compartments crashed into each other, their own momentum working against them and sending everything spiraling out of control all at once.

You were going to live, he had never meant to kill you, you were so glad to live, you were still so afraid–

But above all, you were angry.

“What the fuck is wrong with you?!”

A startled laugh sent tremors through his belly, and you had to brace yourself as you were jostled about. “Oh, you’re a feisty little thing, aren’t you?”

“And you’re a jackass!” you huffed, further enraged by his delight.

“Aw, come on now, this was just a bit of fun! You aren’t even hurt.” He rubbed at his stomach, the motion of soft mesh kneading at your exhausted limbs actually somewhat soothing now that you knew you were safe.

“Can I at least know the name of the smug bastard that ate me?”

He chuckled, resting a hand on his middle. “It’s Knockout. Fitting, don’t you think?”

“No, not really,” you lied, figuring the least you could do to get back at him was call him ugly.

“I- rude! ” he sputtered, jabbing a finger into his gut to poke at you. “Come on now, you wouldn’t have tried to steal me if you didn’t think I looked good.”

You paused for a moment, fairly sure you shouldn’t tell him you’d been planning to sell him for parts.

“I figured anyone with a car as gaudy as you wouldn’t buy a cheap car,” you finally responded.

“Wh- gaudy?! ” he shrieked. “I am not gaudy, I am elegant! Stylish!”

As he began to rant about how handsome he was, you felt a giggle bubbling up in your throat, and you tried to stifle your laughter with a hand over your mouth.

“I am classy, thank you very–” he paused. “You’re messing with me, aren’t you.”

Full-blown cackles tore out of you at his exasperation, and he sighed as your whole body shook with mirth.

“You’re a little shit, you know that?” he groaned, pressing at his belly and squishing you a bit in there.

“What, and you aren’t?”

“It’s not like I hurt you,” he whined, and you could almost see the pout on his face.

“I didn’t hurt you either,” you deadpanned.

“Oh, but you hurt my feelings, ” he sighed dramatically.

“I hope the next person you do this to gets scared enough to piss themselves in your mouth.”

“That can happen?!”

You felt your mouth curve into a mischievous grin as you realized you knew exactly what to say next.

“Now that I think about it, I do kind of need to pee-”

“Okay, time for you to go now!”

You snickered to yourself as you were practically launched back up his throat.

Notes:

My favorite part of this fic is the reader character threatening to piss themselves inside Knockout. You can't tell me that wouldn't work on him.
