Starscream and Skyfire set off on their first Academy mission, and Starscream doesn’t consider the logistics of fuel until much, much too late. Skyfire isn’t keeping it in cubes—it’s in his auxiliary tanks, and there’s only one way to get it out. Starscream’s plating heats just thinking of it. He knows he can’t ask without embarrassing himself.
He can make the whole trip without refueling, right?

When everything he fought for crumbles, he must choose: obedience, or revolution.
Optimus Prime has always believed in the ideals of justice, honor, and peace, even to those who would gladly see him dead. When Cybertron's greatest enemy is cast down before him, broken and defeated, Optimus makes a choice only he would dare to make: to show compassion to the one who deserves it least.
It is a decision that will cost him everything.
To show mercy in a world ruled by fear is to be seen not as noble, but as dangerous. To see something worthy of kindness and dignity in the one he was taught to hate is an unforgivable crime. As the walls of blind obedience close in and the fires of rebellion stir, Optimus must face a truth long buried. Sometimes, it is not hatred that makes a rebel. Sometimes, it is hope.
And the most gentle of acts, is enough to change the fate of everything you hold dear.

Summary
Then a squealing horn broke through the noise of the crackling crying and Optimus felt an extra level of stress entering the situation.
Bumblebee and Sari’s thunderous laughter tore through the walls before them, more braking just before a squeal of tires activated and the yellow mech appeared skidding at full speed towards them.
“Bossbot!” Optimus greeted, barely passing by, immediately turning to face Prowl and his valuable noisy cargo.
There was barely a second of hesitation on his face before he immediately snatched the bundle. Optimus saw alarms flashing on his HUD.
“Bumblebee be careful! That’s a-¡”
“Hey, hey bitlet~” and suddenly the bot’s normally booming, high-pitched voice had become nothing more than a spongy coo that somehow lessened the processor pain of every mech in the room.
Or, the team Prime found a sparkling and need to take care of them. Bee is happy. Everyone else is not.
Optimus is fighting for his life with the cybertronian foster care-consecuences.

Summary
Defeated and dragged back to the world he called home in chains, Megatron can do no more than endure. A rescue from Cybertron itself is almost impossible; he is forced to face the possibility that the Decepticon cause is lost, and that he will end his days as an Autobot experimental subject.
Optimus's hero's welcome is shortlived. Deemed too radical and ousted from the position of Magnus on a technicality, he struggles to keep those he cares about safe from the Council's manipulations and Sentinel Prime's ambition, a struggle that will cost him more than he believed possible.
General Strika contemplates a future without her leader, and finds it bleak. If the General of Destruction is to pull the Decepticon Cause's skidplate out of the scrappile, she's going to have to do a lot of thinking outside the box.
Ratchet learns the true uses to which his research has been put, and begins to wonder if the Decepticons had the right idea. When the extents to which Optimus has been forced come to light, Ratchet makes the decision that might save them all or damn him further.
