Summary
Nearly ten years have passed since the disastrous Archa-7 sting operation that had ended careers, claimed lives, and put a stop to the Syndicate wars. Now, with the city believing Megatron dead and the Elite Guard standing victorious things seem hopeful on the surface level.
However, nothing is ever truly gone.
What begins as a quiet attempt to restore a family business soon becomes a crossroad for three worlds: The shining, rigidness of Iacon, the vibrant but wary Neutral Zone and the Criminal Labyrinth of Kaon.
The shop ends up attracting civilians and working classes alike, ex-cadets and hidden remnants of the Syndicate.
Optimus Prime, a disgraced and former Elite Guard operative, is working security in the lower districts. He rediscovers his purpose once again, protecting the one good thing that reshaped his life in a barely contained world fueled by political ambition and old powers crawling back.

After that disastrous day in Iacon Optimus discovers that Sentinel's spark survived. Spurred on by the Matrix and his natural compassion, he decides to grant the false Prime a possibility at a second chance and plants his spark in the Well, so he might be reborn one day, if Primus so wills it.
It's a choice that is often on his mind as the centuries pass and he learns to navigate his new life as the divinely-chosen leader of his people and realizes that the empty space Sentinel left behind cannot be filled with determination and good intentions alone. The mantle of a Prime is heavy and wanting to steer his people right is not enough to make up for not knowing how to lead and manage an entire city, but it's a good start. The rest he can learn, from friends and former foes alike.

The Quintessons, who they themselves believe to be the smartest and most powerful race in the universe, have, at long last, discovered a way to end the Great War and bring total peace, prosperity, and unity to the galaxy: have Megatron and Optimus get bonded to each other. As many may suspect, neither party is enthusiastic about this decision. But given the shiny new planet destroying weapon the Quintessons have figured out, Optimus and Megatron have to go along and pretend to be happily bonded, while also trying to figure out a way to discretely bring down the Quintessons. Of course, as usual, nothing goes right.
