Summary
Every single year, at the edge of the city, near the vast ocean, something called the Seeker Courting Trials take place. A vital part of seeker culture, where anyone that can fly can participate in courting a seeker of their choice. There are three parts to the trials- a chase, where you have to wear the seeker down. Gift giving, where you must present the seeker with the best gift possible. And the third... you must outlast them during interfacing.
Jetfire has been observing these trials for years, and has his optic on one seeker in-particular- Starscream. He is a Prince, and is known for being one of the pickiest seekers out there. He is very hard to impress, and the trials are brutal. But one year, Jetfire decides he cannot just observe for any longer. Despite his brother trying to dissuade him from doing it, Jetfire decides to give it a try.
Despite training for years, he was still worried he wouldn't make it past all the trials... one of them, specifically. But he gives it a go anyway, just so Starscream will acknowledge his existence. But things go well... So well. Even better than he ever would have expected, and things really are not what they seem on the surface...
