On the heels of Alastomon's defeat, the Legendary Warriors are forced to return to their regular lives. However, their foe has left behind a parting gift: an unknown human accomplice who is set on bringing both worlds to ruin. The Legendary Warriors are given no time to rest before they must pick up the broken pieces of Alastomon's war and stop a masked enemy from destroying all they have fought to protect. Strange monsters that are neither human, animal, nor Digimon begin to attack both worlds, and the Legendary Warriors rush off to defeat them. All the while, they search the Digital World for any signs of Lucemon's old power and the lost Grand Spirit. With the Digital World teetering on the brink of an all-out war with Earth, they have very little time to see this to its end. In order to save both worlds, the Legendary Warriors will need to push beyond their limits of evolution to become the saviors their predecessors always knew them to be. And so begins the journey to reach futures unseen...

Summary
With the war against Lucemon over, the Legendary Warriors have returned to Earth, waiting for the gate to the Digital World to open once more. However, when they return, they find that dark phantoms known as Void Fragments are possessing innocent Digimon and running rampant, leading to chaos in what should have been a time of peace. Meanwhile, the Digital World has left its mark on all of them, imprinting them with the side effects of becoming Digimon on both their bodies and minds. The Digital World has made itself known to Earth, forcing each of the Legendary Warriors to hide their stories from those that pursue the truth. From the cacophony, a new mysterious Digimon by the name of Miriamon makes herself known, and she hides the histories of times long gone and an unknown connection to the Legendary Warriors. Between keeping their double lives a secret, resolving the new conflicts of both worlds, and working through the changes the Digital World has brought them, the Legendary Warriors have an undetermined path stretching before them, but all will be worth it to keep their fates unbound.

Summary
Unknown to the public, there are creatures that hide within the data waves of society's electronic infrastructure. These creatures, called Digimon, are said to cause all sorts of havoc. It is the job of the Digital Emergence Suppression Team- or D.E.S.T- to keep these creatures in line, and to hide their existence. Recently, they've found a promising new recruit in a young Akatsuki Kanade, and her Partner Velocimon.
But Akatsuki doesn't take what she's told at face value. With some digging, she finds a few skeletons in D.E.S.T's closet. And after freeing one of their greatest threats, she becomes their prime target for elimination.
