I’m not great with words so I hope this comes across as a great compliment and not an insult. The premise of this fic is one of my squicks, I religiously avoid reading any ships involving a minor and adult (even if they only get together years later when they’re both adults). I was looking for a fic centering Bakugo and Jeanist, maybe canon involving their mentorship or post-war as fellow pro heroes, or even an adoption AU or something.
I’m glad I decided to click this fic and check it out. I was expecting to skim the beginning, see that it’s not my cup of tea, and move on *insert this-better-not-awaken-anything-in-me.gif* but once I started I got totally sucked in to the story. Your writing is absolutely masterful. I really really enjoyed reading this, I blazed through it in one sitting! I guess my limits can be overcome by such compelling writing 💗

After getting some sleep I thought of more to say!
I really liked how you handled the age gap and all the circumstances of their relationship. Jeanist being concerned about whether he was doing the right thing at times. Him feeling guilty about what happened during Bakugou’s first two ruts, and then later feeling guilty about his desires regarding Bakugou. Characters ashamed of themselves are my kryptonite lol
I liked that Bakugou‘s personality and the fact they’re both alphas means their relationship was fairly equal. The Alpha/Alpha stuff was excellent. Enjoyed the scruffing, and scenting, and all their animalistic noises with the growling and purring and all. Katsuki’s weird hormonal stuff and developing a fetish because of what happened during his first ruts was interesting. I liked that it was left mostly vague, even the mating bite thing, and also Bakugou and Midoriya’s whole complicated thing. I like that all this stuff is brought up without ending up being definitively explained, leaves it up to interpretation. His Purple Highness was fantastic though and I do definitely really need more about his relationship with Jeanist!!
I liked that Jeanist was so gentle and caring to Bakugou, and then Bakugou turned it right back around and was sweet to him, but I also liked that even then they still enjoyed being rough with each other sometimes. I like that neither of them are perfect, and they mess up sometimes, but they’re good together and make each other happy. Also it’s hilarious to me that somehow Jeanist is even more of a workaholic than Bakugou.
You used a lot of cool words I didn’t know and had to look up, I read an absolutely absurd amount so it’s always fun to come across new vocab. I can’t recall them now but maybe I’ll remember when I reread to put them in another comment.

😳🤯😵 this fic was wild for me!! There are certain tags that always signal a fic won’t be my cup of tea, but I’m willing to check out the story anyway, and once in a while a fic will be SO masterfully written it makes me get it.
