Summary
It really shouldn’t have been this easy. Stede’s measly crew of seven, including himself, should not have been able to even so much as board The Revenge, let alone take it for their own. Yet, here they are, just this side of a successful raid and no one except an equally pitiful skeleton crew to overthrow.
Stede and Izzy have a little chat. It goes better than you'd expect.

Summary
There isn't much that Izzy Hands felt like he needed. He was Blackbeard's first mate. He had station and respect. There wasn't much else a pirate could need. Most pirates didn't have the misfortune of being childhood friends of Stede Bonnet.
“We found each other once, Israel. We can do it again.” Stede moved to press their foreheads together. He smiled, warm and brilliant. “I will find you again and again and again. Every time we are apart, know that I am not spending a second not searching for you or thinking of you. You are home, Israel. As long as you have me and my crew you have a home.”
Izzy Hands isn't a romantic kind of man but he was in desperate need of a home.
The continuation of the childhood friends AU that I love so dearly.

Summary
"You will show respect to the Captain, dog," Izzy growled.
He didn't mean Edward.
Izzy's love language is acts of service. Here are five times he took care of Stede.
And one time Stede (and Edward) took care of Izzy.

Summary
Stede had never once seen someone come in and stare for a few minutes, walk up to one of the display items, pick it up, and take a bite out of it so confidently. The gentleman, Stede approximated based on the long beard coupled with longer, salt and pepper hair, was not what Stede would consider their usual clientele. Nor did he seem outwardly off put at the taste. He just looked… curious. Appraising. As if his purchase of the products would be motivated based on taste.
Or: Edward Teach tastes everything and Stede Bonnet is smitten (but also confused).

Just because Izzy is a part of the crew now doesn't mean that hes suddenly on board with everything they do. He complains about every little thing, and finds fault in every management decision.
Except one.

Summary
What is unusual is the following:
Firstly, he is in the Captain's Cabin (Co-Captain’s cabin? The fucking honeymoon suite? Whatever the fuck they’re calling it these days)
Secondly, the room is - at least by Bonnet’s standards - a mess.
Thirdly, Izzy might be waking up alone, but he did not go to sleep alone. He went to sleep warm and heavy and snuggled.
Israel Hands – first mate of the legendary Blackbeard - doesn’t fucking snuggle. That’s fucking ridiculous.
And yet.
-///-
Or, the morning after Stede sleeps with Izzy for the first time, Izzy reminisces on the night before. He's interrupted by Stede who worries that he hurt him.

Summary
“They all think you’re ridiculous, and pathetic, poor baby Bonnet and his big bad boyfriend who hates him.” Stede felt himself vibrating with anger. As if he needed someone else to tell him that he wasn’t good enough for Ed.
“Enough!” He snapped, glaring at Nigel and his simpering twin. They ‘ooed’ at him which only incensed him further. He hit the table with an open palm.
The crew all stared at him. His shout rang around the now silent galley. Most of them had hung their heads. Stede was horrified.
Or: Stede's still haunted by the ghosts of Nigel and Chauncey and Ed's started to notice that something's wrong.

Summary
Stede adores his boyfriends Ed and Izzy, and he would do anything to keep them safe and happy, even if that means ignoring all the warning signs going off in his head that he needs to find a quiet place to cry by himself.
Or: Izzy realized that Stede has his own problems and they need to talk about it.

Summary
Izzy stared at the tightly clenched fabric in his hands with abject horror, wondering just how the fuck he’d gotten himself here.
or; Izzy has a bit of an identity crisis, and his partners help him through it.
