Summary
Tommy runs into Steve at Family Video, they have a conversation about soulmates.
“I have,” says Steve suddenly. “I have found her.”
“Right,” says Tommy, deeply disappointed again. He feels like slamming his head on the Family Video desk until he slips into a coma, or something. “Good for you.” It feels shit because Tommy already—well, Tommy already knew that he and Steve weren’t—

Summary
Robin goes to her graduation party, Eddie doesn't get invited. They both end up in Steve's bed, anyway.
“Not really,” she mumbles, collapses down beside him. “Is that Munson?”
“Yeah.” He thumps back down as she wriggles under the covers next to him. “You sure you’re okay?”
“You’re having a sleepover without me,” she whines.
He huffs a sleepy laugh and pulls her under his arm so her head is on his chest. “Go to sleep, Rob.”

Summary
Steve, Carol, Tommy, and Robin are the stars of pop group 'Lunate' and they're touring America with their third album. Carol and Tommy finally finish their game of will-they-won't-they and everything goes to shit. (It doesn't matter, they were destined to destroy everything anyway.)
“I’m only saying,” says Carol, breathing smoke up to the “modern art” of red and blue swathes hanging over the headboard, probably copy-and-pasted a thousand times throughout the hotel, “if it comes down to the house and the band and us, I’d rather pick us.”
He sits back against the pillows, cigarette bouncing between his lips as he talks, flicking the menu with his thumb. “Well, obviously. I’d choose the same.”
“We’re selfish,” she says, breathing smoke up again to that ugly red-and-blue art and the pristine white ceiling.
Tommy grins, sharp and white and his eyes glittering in the early morning sun. They smell like the stage, like smoke machines and sweat, and her hearing is still buzzing with the screams and the crackle of the mic and the thundering of Tommy’s drums, she can feel the heavy weight of mascara on her lashes. “Yes,” he replies. “We are.”

Summary
Steve proposes to Robin at Hawkins' Leisure Centre.
He glances at her. “Here?”
“Yeah. Here.”
He doesn’t get down on one knee, or anything, and they’re hardly in a romantic spot and they’re wearing rain-wet clothes, but he meets her eyes and says, “Will you marry me?”

Summary
Robin and Nancy get together at a frat party.
“Where’re we going?” she asks as they lurch to a stop to let some chanting frat guys whoop past. She has to press close, strawberry shampoo in her mouth, shoulder against the cold hard wall, edges staticky with drink, smiling too much probably.
Nancy smiles too, so close Robin can’t see it unless she drops her gaze to it, but that seems dangerous. She says something, but Robin can’t hear her. The music — house, dance, rap? Robin doesn’t know, doesn’t recognise it, just the hard thrum and beat of it in her chest — gets louder and under it Robin hears someone yelling about the pool. Nancy gets closer, “Another drink!” And then Robin is being tugged on again to the kitchen, happy to keep fighting through the people after Nancy, keeping their hands joined.
