Summary
Andi Henderson and Steve Harrington had been inseparable since they were six. Even when Steve turned into the school’s golden boy, he never quite stopped looking for Andi in a crowded room.
But somewhere between the late-night drives and shared jokes, Andi started seeing Steve differently. Not the one everyone worshiped, but the boy who only ever let his guard down around her. And then he fell for Nancy Wheeler. Or at least, he thought he did.
Andi tried to smile through it, tried to pretend her heart didn’t crack every time he looked at Nancy the way she wished he’d look at her.
One night, at a party Steve threw while his parents were gone, she drank too much trying to forget. Laughter blurred into silence, and a scream tore through the night. Andi ran outside nothing. Just cold air and the echo of something wrong.
The next day, Barb Holland was missing.
Andi couldn’t shake the guilt or the way Steve’s worried eyes lingered on her a second too long. -

Robin turned to Eddie. Maybe he had a good enough reason Steve needed to be with Nancy to banish this thought from her mind. He’d obviously spent just at much time pushing them together as she did. Maybe the pair really was the perfect couple beyond Robin projecting her own feelings to apparently live vicariously through her best friend.
Eddie looked stricken. He turned to meet her gaze, dread washing over her.
“Oh fuck. You like Steve,” Robin blurted out.

The first time they clash is at Tina's stupid Halloween Party: An emotionally unstable Steve sort of tries to be a better person, to leave the high school crap behind (he's got bigger, Upside Down shaped problems on his mind anyway), but this asshole Billy Hargrove just won't let him. And maybe he's up for a little rivalry, because maybe being king wasn't so bad after all...?
And Billy who is just so, so fucking angry. He hates being stuck in fucking Hawkins with his piece-of-shit father. There's something about Steve Harrington in particular that drives him up the wall. Something those stuck-up small-town bigots don't really get.
They start pushing each other. But their fighting is suddenly interrupted by the Upside-Down shaped problems... and Billy joins the party. Whether they like it or not.
And that's when things get really interesting.

So 3 years ago I stumbled upon this "Stranger Things Daily Drabbles" fic and I haven't stopped thinking about it since. I've been in a writing slump for the past year and I figured this would be a good way to fix it. All props to the original writer for inspriing me to do this little exercise :)

“Idiot” Nancy mumbles as she brings her hands up to caress Robin's face gently with her thumbs, tears that had been brimming in her eyes falling loose, “I can’t, I already lost a friend, I can’t lose you too, please Robin don’t leave me, please don’t leave me, I don’t- I can’t, I-I don’t want you to go” Nancy pulls her closer, so close she’s afraid she might break her. “this can’t be happening, Robin I-’’ a sob escapes her, whispering so low only Robin could hear, “I need you” she cradles Robin’s head with one hand as she hides her face in the crook of Robin’s neck breathing her in like she won’t be able to ever again. “Please.”
When Robin gets vecna'd something inside Nancy breaks. The two become close due to Nancy's need to keep an eye on Robin, when she vows the upside down won't take another friend from her. Robin is confused and flustered at Nancys new attitude and clinginess.

The boy was panting hard and his clothes were torn on the sleeves. All the kids jumped up scared for the appearance, Steve put himself between them and Hargrove in a protective way.
“Out there ! …..There are……There are…… Monsters ! Real Monsters !” Billy was shouting and taking big breaths between the words.
