Amanda "Mandy" Harrington is an awkward, reserved girl living in small town Indiana. When her one and only friend goes missing she's tossed into a group of three nerdy boys and a girl with supernatural abilities.
Her older brother Steve is her only true family, her parents are always away on work trips or vacations, when they are home they aren't present. As her new found friends search for the missing Will Byers they discover an inter-dimensional world. The Upside Down.

Lisa Henderson didn't like Steve Harrington. Not at all.
They were best friends as kids and now they didn't talk, and Lisa was content in forgetting about his existence. That was until he started dating her best friend, Nancy Wheeler. Trying to adapt to his unwelcome return into her life, as well as trying to stay out of whatever her brother Dustin and his friends were secretly up to was no easy feat, especially when literal monsters were thrown into the mix.
Lisa Henderson didn't like Steve Harrington, but she also couldn't seem to get rid of him.
And maybe, just maybe, she didn't actually mind that much.
