It certainly didn’t help that the years of increasing duty and Hallótta’s less-than-stellar attempts of making herself useful have strained her and her father’s once close relationship.

The next day started late; when Odysseus ventured out from his room, the servants were very soft and hushed, careful to be quiet; there was a slight heaviness in the air. A little… hm. Muskiness, which the servants wouldn't be able to do anything about, till later.
