Cloud decides at 13 that the only way to make a name for himself is to become a S.O.L.D.I.E.R. Taking one last look around his hometown he makes one faithful promise that carries him from his first days as grunt in the Shinra Infantry to his gasping breath as a wounded solider.
“You’ve decided then?” His mother’s voice dissipated his thoughts. Although his back was still turned to her, he imagined she could still read his thoughts.
“Yeah-” he swallowed.”At the end of spring.”
“I see. You’re not thinking of leaving before homecoming are you?”
Cloud turned to face her, his eyes drifting above her sitting figure, trying to swallow the lump in his throat.
“I heard Tifa was really looking forward to it. She even bought her dress already.” He felt his ears grow hot from the sudden blush rising across his face. His eyes caught the small smile forming on her lips. “I’ll think about it..” he said softly.
She nodded, “Good. A last memory before you go.” -

Cloud never thought in a million years that he would switch from having a terrible love life to forming a polycule with four wonderful men. But after Sephiroth's actions at a high-profile event last year, and a huge secret that forces them to marry, living a peaceful life slowly becomes a fleeting dream once someone tries to take his life.
They later learn that the men involved with threatening Cloud’s safety just so happen to be Genesis and Angeal’s ex-boyfriends. Genesis refuses to believe that one particular ex is a part of some scheme that is inflicting trauma onto Cloud. However, that same ex has displayed a dramatic personality shift that suggests he is being manipulated by another ex-boyfriend.
Genesis is forced to revisit his painful past to locate the perpetrator hurting the people that he cares for. Thankfully, Sephiroth and Cloud, along with Cloud's mysterious bodyguard, decide to join him on his search for answers.

Ein Streit führt zu einem Kuss, der die beiden Männer auf einen seltsam verschlungenen Weg und letztendlich in einen Abgrund führt. Kein Problem für echte Helden. Oder?

“What the hells do you mean you sent Genesis, who hasn’t had a heat all year, on a mission alone to Wutai?” Angeal snarled, uncharacteristically aggressive. He’d never marked Genesis, honoring his autonomy, but as far as he was concerned, that was his omega, whether he consciously recognized that fact or not.
“Rhapsodos was armed with extra heat suppressant drugs, a fresh scent blocking patch, and passed all appropriate medical exams to qualify for a mission. There was no indication that it would require more than one First Class SOLDIER or equivalent.” Lazard stated the facts of his case with practiced ease. After all, he may be a beta, but the majority of SOLDIER was alphas. He was more than used to dealing with the alphas and knew exactly what tone to take.
“And who authorized the medical records?” Angeal crossed his arms, but didn’t sacrifice posture.
“His usual physician, Dr. August Hollander.” Lazard answered, not even looking up from his computer monitor this time.
“Genesis was due home over a week ago.” Sephiroth chimed in. “He left last Monday, and was due back by Wednesday. It’s now the following Friday.”--
Sometimes, a hero needs to be rescued. Genesis learned that the hard way.
